Compounds and Molecules

• Two or more atoms may be combined to form a molecule.

• A molecule with two or more different atoms is called a compound.

• Typical compounds are water (H2O), salt (NaCl), sulfuric acid (H2SO4), and gallium arsenate (GaAs).
