Planning to go to Austin Community College next semester? You should begin thinking about enrolling NOW. ![]() To enroll in ACC, there are six steps: 1. Visit with an Adult Education Advisor. Click here to learn about advisors dedicated to ACC's adult education students. 2. Application. Click here to start application on-line. 3. Proof of GED completion or high school diploma. You must provide your official record of your GED certificate or your high school diploma. If you have lost your GED certificate, you can request a copy from Texas Education Agency (TEA). Click here to go to TEA's web site. IMPORTANT: If you have not completed your GED yet, but believe you will complete your GED before the start of the next semester, you can complete a form called "Missing Credential". When you receive your GED, submit a copy to the admissions office. 4. Assessments. You will need to take a reading, writing, and math assessment to determine your placement in ACC classes. If English is not your first language and you are entering ACC directly from our ESL classes you will need to take an ESL Assessment. Click here to learn how to prepare for your assessment. 5.
