The Peierls Foundation Stipend and Scholarship Fund was established through the ACC Foundation specifically for adult learners enrolled in Austin Community College’s Adult Education Program.  Funds are set aside to cover the costs of GED testing fees (the stipend), and for scholarships to pursue higher education and/or training at Austin Community College.  Adults who receive their GED certificates through programs provided by Austin Community College or one of its community partners in the Travis County Adult Education Consortium are eligible to apply for a scholarship.

The Austin Community College Foundation reviews all applications, according to established criteria, selects and monitors stipend and scholarship recipients, and disburses funds as needed.  Preference is given to east Austin residents. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an Austin Community College funded adult education initiative supported by the Travis County Adult Education Consortium.
