Chemistry Department

 

 

The chemistry department at Austin Community College offers five lecture courses and five laboratory courses; Introduction to Chemistry (1305 Lecture and 1105 Lab), General Chemistry I (1311 Lecture and 1111 Lab), General Chemistry II (1312 Lecture and 1112 Lab), Organic Chemistry I (2323 Lecture and 2123 Lab), and Organic Chemistry II (2325 Lecture and 2125 Lab). As of the fall of 2006 there are approximately 1400 students in 95 16-week combined lecture/lab sessions and 27 students enrolled in two 12-week sessions.  The ACC Chemistry Department now has ten full-time faculty, who teach almost half of all classes, as well as seventeen adjunct faculty who teach the other half of all classes.
