Task Force Meeting
April 20, 1999
I. Adjunct Representation
It was agreed that the Task Force would send out requests for representation to the Adjunct Faculty. These will be yearly appointments.
II. Textbook Selections
By majority vote, the following books were selected for the next school year.
Stoker - Introduction to Chemical Principles for CHM 1614 lecture
Wade - Organic Chemistry. Starts for CHM 2614 in the fall and CHM 2624 in the spring.
For CHM 2614 and CHM 2624 lab, the Roberts, Martin and Gilbert book was approved for another year.
The customized Slowinski was approved to start in the fall for CHM 1634 and CHM 1644 laboratories.
Due to possible copyright conflicts, Task Force voted to discontinue use of the CHM 1614 lab manual originally written by Meyer, Kirschner, Young and Crowshaw. New books were presented and a phone vote for the new book was taken during the next week. The majority selected the CER Handout as our new material for CHM 1614 labs.
