• Characteristics

  • Bone deformities due to abnormal regeneration and reabsorption of bone
  • Affects pelvis, lone bones, spine, cranium

• Predisposing factors

  • White male over 50

• Assessment

  • Small hat syndrome, pathologic fractures, bone pain
  • May lead to osteosarcoma, chondrosarcoma
