6. Submitting Grades Online. As you know, all programs on the academic transfer side of the College will be submitting their Fall course grades via an online system. This is a very user-friendly and intuitive system. There is an online manual for those who want some instruction; help is also available through the Help Desk. A link is available on the Government Department Web page.
7. Full Time Faculty: Completing Time sheets online. October was a "pilot" month. For the month of November, all full-time faculty should submit their time sheets (absences, hours, reason) via the online system. A link is available on the Government Department Web page.
Adjunct Faculty Committee: Following ACC's recent Adjunct Faculty Job Fair, a number of new applications have been received. Interviews will follow in the Spring semester.
Faculty Development Committee: The Lobby Forum was a success thanks to the work of Robert Floyd, Glen Hunt, and Karry Evans. Committee needs ideas for Spring Brown Bags & Workshop. There is a possibility of another textbook forum if faculty are interested. Please relate ideas to Karry Evans, kevans@austincc.edu or 223-3394.
Faculty Evaluations Committee: Committee is currently collecting portfolios from those on the first year, second year, third year, or first one-third lists. Old portfolios have been returned to faculty. Please retain them and build on them. College deadline is December 6th for submission of current portfolios. Any adjunct not up for portfolio review, but who wishes to be considered for MSTA or Highest Priority to Hire should submit a portfolio. The deadline for MSTA/HPH portfolios is January 31, 2003.
Student Assessment Committee: Committee chair is collecting essay answers for selected sections. If you were chosen for student assessment, please return your completed essays to Frank J. Garrahan, NRG, by the end of the semester. Make sure you have identifying information on your packet so that the committee chair knows who has completed their assigned tasks.
Lisa Perez & Jim Fowler went to Southern; travel reimbursement approved retroactively. Karry Evans & Paz Pena were approved to go to Southwestern next April 16th in San Antonio.
Lynn Lehle, chair of the Government Department's IPR Committee, provided an update on the self-study report that is currently in draft form. In addition, the Task Force had a discussion regarding possible new student assessment measures and ideas for the four-year action plan that must be part of the report.
The TFC will post a draft of the report on the Web for faculty to make comments and suggestions.
