The Texas
Bamboo Society (TBS) encourages interested TBS members the to participate
in the TBS Bamboo Plant Evaluation Research Project.
GOALS HOW TO PARTICIPATE DATA TO SUBMIT RELATED BAMBOO LINKS
Collect growth data on numerous types of bamboos being grown in
Texas and surrounding areas with similar habitats.
Evaluate the data in several ways, including
Make the data available to the public through TBS educational efforts.
Post information on the web concerning locations where different which bamboos are being grown, such as by city. No individuals or exact locations will be identified without approval of the grower.
Compile lists of suggested bamboos for growing in different locations
and conditions in Texas and surrounding areas with similar habitats.
If you already have bamboo growing,
TBS welcomes you to collect and submit growth data on your plants. Choose
the plants you would like to measure, look over the forms below (under
Data to Submit Every Winter), and submit your information. You
can start the data collection at any time, and after that TBS would like
the data every winter as well.
