REGISTER AT
EACH SITE, except for the Hunger Site !
It is essential that you follow ALL of the instructions below
for each site, and REGISTER
at each site, or the site and the clawz team leader will not recognize
you as part of the clawz team, and you won't get your extra credit points.
If
this is your first visit to a site, or
if you have not yet registered at the site, follow
the registration instructions below, and do
it now! It is best to
register, before you log in, on your first visit to each site.
It is possible to log in without REGISTERING, so be careful!
Be aware that these site change their format
from time to time. If you find that these instructions need updating, please

Read about each site, and make your own choices
concerning whether or not you want to support the cause. The sites are
chosen because they have anti-spam policies and they keep track of your
visits.

DONATING TO Care2
SITES
REGISTERING
for the Care2 sites
1) Go to
the sites by clicking on the link below.
Contribute to
Care2.com Sites 
2) Follow
the link above. Look in the upper right corner. If you have not done
so
before, click on the "Sign in" link and follow the instructions --- sometimes
this link is in other spots on the page, so look around for it! You only
need to do this once, and it should work for all of the Care2 sites. Make
up your own username and password. Be sure to write down your username
and password to remember them for your next donation! If you are not sure
if you have done this, you can always do it again.
HELPFUL
HINT!!!
These sites may have an option which says "Remember
Me". If you generally use the same computer to make your donations,
and if you have already checked that box, you won't have to log in
and supply a password each time you visit the site. This saves you time!
You may do this from more than one computer (work, home) but use the same
username and password for each computer.
3) The
next time you visit you will have to do all of this again using the same
username and password, but if you clicked "Remember Me" (see helpful
hint above) you will, instead, see a message in the upper
left corner of the second page that says "Welcome Back <your username>!"
because it recognizes your computer and automatically credits your account.
What a deal!
4) Each
time you click a page to donate you will be taken to a page which says
'Thank You,' or something to that effect. If you scroll down that page
you can see your total donations for that site.
5) Check your
settings at each site to avoid unwanted email from the site. This is at
"My Settings," "Panda Reminders," or "Climbing Reminders."
Credit
for Care2 sites
For all of the Care2 sites, you will get credit
for only the ONE site to which you make the most donations, according to
the following scale.
You will get 1 point of web extra credit for every
two visits to one of the Care2 sites. Participating in "Daily Action" does
not count for credit.

Send in only one piece of paper when
you have finished making all your donations to this site for the semester.
Go to http://www.care2.com/
Log in if necessary. Click on the "click to donate" link. This will take
you to a table which lists your visits to each Care2 site. Print and send
this page to Dr. Muzos,
with your name and course number.
EcologyFund.com
Donations
This site allows you to donate to several different
sites which protect specific habitats around the world. Information on
how to register and how much you and the clawz team have donated is displayed
in the lefthand column of the site's screen.

Go to the site by clicking on the link below.
Join
The ACC Biology Team
and
Contribute to Ecology Fund .com sites 
The first time you visit this site,
look in the upper left of the screen, click where it says "Register
Now", and follow the instructions.
This site uses cookies to recognize the computer from which you donate
as being "you". If you use more than one computer to donate to this site
you will need to register yourself from each separate computer. You only
need to register one time from each different computer that you use.
JOINING the clawz
team for EcologyFund
Click on the "Get Involved" tab at the top of the screen.
Click on the link to join a group on this new page (they move the link
around!).
Click on "Colleges and Universities"
Find clawz near the bottom of the list, and click on "JOIN".

For all of the EcologyFund sites, you
will receive one point of extra credit
for each 500 square feet that you donate.
Participating in "Save More for Free" options does
not count for credit.
SUBMITTING YOUR POINTS TO DR. MUZOS for EcologyFund
Send in only one piece of paper, or one email
when you have finished making all your donations to this site for the semester.
Use one of the following options.
1) If your printer allows you to print pages from this site,
simply print the page that shows your donations totals and the clawz
donations totals. Send this page to Dr. Muzos, with your name and course
number.
2) If your printer won't do that (many won't), or if you prefer
to send the total by email smuzos@austin.cc.tx.us
, put your cursor on "Tell a Friend" in the left margin, hold down the
left button and drag it up the left margin (to highlight it), up to and
including the date in the upper right corner. Copy this highlighted section,
paste it into the body of an email to me, and send it to me. It will show
the date, your total donations, and the clawz team total donations, and
I will give you your points.

2) On your
first
visit, click on "Register" (see the lower right part of the
first page), and complete the registration.
3) On your
next
visits, click on "Already Registered?" (see the lower right
part of the first page).
4) This site
sends you periodic email announcements. However, each message provides
a link at the bottom to allow you to get off their list if you don't want
more messages.
Credit for Red
Jellyfish donations
For all of the Red Jellyfish sites, you will get
credit for only the ONE site to which you make the most donations, according
to the following scale.
You will receive one point of extra
credit for each 25 square feet ("Save
Rainforest") that you donate, OR,
one point for every
1 cup of chimp
food. Participating in other activities at this site
does not count for credit.

Jellyfish
Send in only one piece of paper when
you have finished making all your donations to this site for the
semester.
Simply print the page that shows your donations total from the site
to which you made the most donations. This is the first page of the site
(see the lower right side of the screen). Send this page to Dr.
Muzos, with your name and course number .

THE HUNGER SITE
In spite of what it says above, this is the only
site at which you do not need to register.
GreaterGood.com,
a for-profit organization, operates several sites, each of which has different
sponsors.
Make
a Donation
Credit
for the Hunger
Site sites
For all of the Hunger Site sites, you will get
credit for only the ONE site to which you make the most donations, according
to the following scale. At each site you will receive
one half point of extra credit
each day that you donate.
Participating in anything other than the free
donations does not count for credit.

Hunger Site sites
The Hunger Site web donations page has stopped keeping track of individual
donations.
In order to get credit, each time that you
donate you will have to print
the page that comes up after you donate, where it tells how
much your click donated. When you have all of your points, just send me
all of the pages. This is a lot of paper, so please do this for just
ONE of the Hunger Site causes, even though you may donate to any and
all of them if you so choose.
