Installing Mathematica on a Macintosh computerWell, there is good news and bad news. The good news is that you can install Mathematica over the network and successfully run it on a Mac (there are people who actually have it working already). The bad news is that I haven't actually gone through the following instructions step-by-step myself, so there could be something missing in it. If you have problems, please contact Marcus McGuff or the math department's computer techs at mathlabs@austin.cc.tx.us and we will figure out how to get things working for you. If you have an older version of Mathematica on your Mac, you should probably uninstall it first. If you are running OS-X, we do have a version for it (it's brand new), but you will need to contact us to get a copy of the CD to install from. The instructions below are strictly for earlier versions:
