Austin-American Statesman: Austin Community College grant to fund job training

The Austin Community College District will provide specialized job training through a $312,000 Skills and Development Fund grant awarded by the Texas Workforce Commission.

Commission Chairman Andres Alcantar presented a check to ACC and NXP USA Inc. partners Tuesday at ACC’s Highland Campus.

The grant will provide customized training for 211 incumbent workers. The training program includes focused instruction on semiconductor systems and business.
