Austin Community College and the YMCA of Austin will host an open house at the new Child Watch Drop-In Center at ACC Highland Friday, January 18, from noon to 2 p.m. for those interested in exploring childcare services at the college.
Students can meet with staff, learn more about the new center, and register their children.
The center, set to open for the spring 2019 semester, offers currently enrolled ACC students drop-in care for their children. The program is offered by the YMCA of Austin.
“The YMCA of Austin and ACC share in a mission to better serve our community,” says James Finck, YMCA of Austin president/CEO. “I look forward to growing our partnership and developing more in-depth programs in the future.”
The pilot program will serve children ages 3-12. Students pay $4 per hour for a maximum of three hours per day, or 12 hours per week.
The college also will continue to offer childcare services including evening childcare at the Child Lab at ACC Eastview Campus.
