Spring Food Drive
Austin Community College (ACC) faculty and staff collected a total of 2,262 pounds of food during the Spring Food Drive in February. Anyone who missed out can still donate to any Student Life office year-round. Read more here.
Friday, March 29 | International Fest
ACC students, faculty, and their families celebrated culture, art, religion, business, and language from across the globe at the second annual International Festival at Highland Campus. Sponsored by the Liberal Arts and Art & Digital Media departments, the event included a Chinese Dragon performance and other cultural shows and demonstrations.
Friday, April 5 | Job Fair & Career Exploration
A record-breaking 1,748 ACC students registered and 141 employers offering over 3,000 job and internship opportunities in the Spring Job Fair and Career Exploration event at ACC Highland Campus.
The event included a resume lab with individualized assistance, a fashion show hosted by the ACC Fashion Incubator and K&G Fashions was a big hit, free credit reports offered by the Student Money Management Office, and a LinkedIn photo headshot booth.
Saturday, April 6 | Paddle Battle
Rain didn't stop kayakers from the inaugural Riverbat Paddle Battle on Saturday, April 6. A total of 72 participants raced kayaks on Lady Bird Lake and about 190 people attended the after party at the American Legion Charles Johnson house for the awards ceremony, crawfish boil, food and drinks, and entertainment. Tuesday, April 9 | Casting Call
Registration filled up fast for ACC's April 9 casting call. Dozens of ACC students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of the college showed up at ACC Highland Campus to share their ACC stories on camera for a chance to appear in a future campaign celebrating college for everyone. ACC will host more casting calls over the next few months. You can register to be notified at austincc.edu/castingcall.
