The Austin Community College District (ACC) welcomes veterans, students, their families, and employees to the third annual Veterans Day Commemoration from noon to 2 p.m., Monday, November 11, at ACC Elgin Campus (1501 U.S. 290, Elgin). 

Veterans and the community will enjoy live music, an awards ceremony, and several speakers, including Eduardo Hidrogo, an 89-year-old veteran who served in multiple branches of the military during his 31-year career. 

The event, sponsored by American Legion Post and Veterans of Foreign Wars, is free and open to the public.
