Austin Community College District (ACC) employees will soon be able to access all college information in one place with the MyACC Faculty and Staff Portals, which launch this fall.
"We are excited to finally release portals for faculty and staff. This has been a goal of ours for many years," says Dr. Charles Cook, executive vice president of Academic Affairs. "It has been a collaborative and thoughtful project that I hope will improve communication for everyone throughout the district."
Faculty leaders from both the Full-Time Faculty Senate and Adjunct Faculty Association, as well as representatives from Information Technology, Student Affairs, Faculty Development, Communications & Marketing, and several other offices participated in the process.
Similar to the MyACC Student Portal which launched in fall 2019, the faculty and staff portals are single sign-on solutions and will serve as a one-stop online resource for important faculty and staff news and information.
The primary difference between the portals are the resources presented. Staff will have access to resources such as tools to get their job done, employee advancement options, and access to important services designed for staff. Faculty will have access to Blackboard, professional development opportunities, and classroom management resources.
The portals will be released August 17 and will run parallel to the Faculty and Staff website through the end of September to give employees time to adjust and provide feedback.
