Want a free college class this fall? It’s not too late to sign up. This fall Austin Community College District (ACC) offers up to three FREE classes that can lead to an in-demand workforce credential.

The college’s Level Up Program, provided in partnership with Texas Workforce Commission, targets in-demand careers requested by regional employers. Students who complete the program receive an Occupational Skills Award (OSA) –– a college credential that allows them to enter a high-demand career field with minimal training. All credits can be stacked and lead to a more advanced level 1 certificate.

Programs Include:

Business

Computer Science & Information Technology

Design, Manufacturing, Construction, and Applied Technologies

Applications are now open for fall and spring semester. A new cohort for Accounting and Computer Networking and Programming will begin this October. The Level Up Program includes free textbooks, advising, and academic support.

The program began in 2017. Eligible students must have a high school degree or GED, live in the ACC District, and be a Texas resident. For more information and to register, visit austincc.edu/levelup.

Students in the Level Up Program will join other ACC classes for their program. The college offers in-person and virtual class options, including flexible online, scheduled online, hybrid, and hy-flex options, to give students flexibility with their schedules. Fall classes begin Monday, August 22. For more information, visit austincc.edu/register.
