Spring registration opens at Austin Community College District (ACC) for everyone on Monday, October 31. Students are encouraged to register early, because high-demand classes are filling up fast.
“What is more important is finding a way to support students and our community with what they need to succeed. ACC continues to keep our student success at the forefront of our minds,” says Dr. Monique Umphrey, ACC provost/executive vice chancellor of Academic & Student Affairs. “We are watching the trends. It is our responsibility to continue to expand and add options to provide the classes and resources we can to meet the needs of our students.”
GROWTH IN HIGH-DEMAND AREAS
ACC is seeing increased enrollments among new students and among all students in key areas of study, including:
In fall, courses in these programs were among the most in-demand with enrollment up across the board in each area.
GROWTH FOR FLEXIBLE OPTIONS
Flexibility remains a top priority to fit all schedules. Options include:
Online learning as a whole remains a popular option for all students. In fall, approximately half of all credit hours were taken online. During the fall semester, more than 60 percent of students took at least one in-person course.
ACC staff are ready to work with students 1-on-1 to help them apply and register. For custom support registering for classes, the college also will host in-person registration support events November 14 - 19. More details to come.
Spring classes begin Tuesday, January 17. For more information, visit austincc.edu/spring.
