Austin Community College (ACC) is collecting donations for the Travis County Sheriff’s Office Brown Santa Program. The annual gift drive supports families in need. This year, the Sheriff’s Office is collecting games and puzzles.  

“When I was much younger, playing games like these helped me in two ways. One of which was to improve my ability to handle intellectually challenging tasks because I was used to tackling problems already at a young age. The second way it helped me was to connect with friends and family in a fun way by playing the games I had with them,” says Noble Udoh, president of the ACC Student Government Association (SGA), which is sponsoring the donation drive. “I can confidently say the children receiving these gifts could reap the same benefits.”

Donations may be dropped off at any ACC Police Office through Monday, December 2. Monetary donations also may be dropped off to the SGA Mailbox on the Highland Campus.

The gifts will be presented to the Travis County Sheriff’s Office 10 a.m. Monday, December 9, at ACC Highland Campus Social Staircase (6101 Highland Campus Dr.).
