Right now, students are preparing for their next step in life and registering for summer and fall classes at Austin Community College District (ACC). The college’s Honors Program is now accepting applicants for the semester as well.

The Honors Program offers exclusive learning opportunities in and out of the classroom. Designed for high-achieving students looking for more advanced learning opportunities, classes include an emphasis on research, collaboration, and interdisciplinary projects. 

Students who complete the program and meet all major transfer requirements have priority consideration for admission to specific four-year institutions.

Right now, several Honors Program students and recent graduates are being recognized for outstanding work. Three were selected for the 2022 Texas Association of Schools of Art “Artovation” exhibition. On display are current student Everardo Camacho Wanless’ CUBIK Mind and Mexican Veggies and alumna Juliette Nickle’s #2248 and Shailee Thakkar’s Controlled tetris and Lost in the city. During the 46th annual ACC Student Exhibition, current Honors Painting student Tayler Duprel won the Judges Award for first place in Painting for her work titled Searching.
